When she was 24 she moved to Vancouver from Hawaii and started working at Quizno’s Subs. They were at 6 stores at the time. Throughout her career with them, she sold several stores through the implementation of tradeshows and seminars, communication with, as well as provided appropriate information to, people who attended the seminars, and answered newspaper ads. As a result of one of the tradeshows, a record 43 franchises were sold!

She personally trained over 100 franchisees, and opened 52 stores across the country, which consisted of scouting locations, meeting with realtors, negotiating contracts, working with architects, reviewing and revising blueprints, overseeing construction with contractors and tradesmen, etc. As V.P. of Operations, she ran a territory of 54 stores within British Columbia, which included leading a team of Operation Consultants, coaching them on the Quizno’s system, marketing plans, accounting and financials, who then coached and supported Franchisees to ensure their success. By the time she left the company, it was at over 200 stores across the country, and was opening one store every 17 hours.

In 2003 to 2004, she joined The Taco Bell Corporation in San Diego, CA as the Director of Operations, in the Southern California Region.
